 I've always had a fleeting fascination with watches -- primarily from an aesthetic standpoint.  But at some point back in my college days, I just didn't like having anything stuck on my wrist, so I stopped wearing one.

A little over a year ago, I decided to try again.  I got an inexpensive quartz to see if I would mind it on my wrist and the rest is history.

My wife and I have worked out a rule that I keep only as many watches as can fit in my 10-watch drawer.  So I now have 11 watches. ;)

I credit my first mechanical watch, the Orsa Silver Surfer for really pulling me back into WIS-dom.  And that's why I keep it as my avatar.
