You're not off base, the 2894-2 is based on the 2892, but ETA created there own module part 8510 ( Non Depraz module) to make the 2894-2 . There must be a reason why they made there own module instead of using Depraz module to make it thin. How they did it I don't know. But I do know it's 100% Eta movement, not a base 2824 with the Depraz module 2020, 51 jewels that some vendor make you believe is a 2894. that has the same dial layout as the ETA 2894-2 . e.avery wrote: My understanding of this may be way off base, but I thought the 2894 is based on the 2892, which is why it is so thin.
