I actually did run a paper-clip through both lug holes:). The problem was the one hole (11 o'clock side) was super tight, no matter what I did. Putting the tube in the other side (1 o'clock) was fine, but when it got to the 11 o'clock side it wouldn't go in, so the screw couldn't reach it. I had to go in from the hard side first. Just to get it through the hole, which I had cleaned out, I had to gently tap the lug tube with a hammer. I covered the head with some cloth and held the watch in my hand to absorb the shock. Anyway, after the tube got about a 1/4 of a way in, it loosened up and the tube slid the rest of the way easily. Anyway, it's in now, and there it will stay unless that leather is absolutely awesome (which I'm pretty sure it will be!:P)
