If you haven't had a new set of clubs in a while, you should definitely play better with longer, straighter shots.  Whereas club head technology has changed a little, increasing performance, shaft construction with ascending mass and and tip soft technology (that causes the head to square to the ball better) has created straighter shots and increased performance.  When I changed from my 1997 Callaway Big Bertha irons to TaylorMade RAC (cgb) and re-shafted my Cleveland driver....I knocked an average of 8 strokes off my game................now if I could just get my putter to work! :D

That said, you can get a hell of a watch for $1300!!!
