Deep cuts? Heavy, nasty swirls? Pockmarks? They'd be hard to erase and too much buffing can spoil the sheen of the steel.

If you have a jeweler nearby who's used to buffing Rolexes to Rolex standards (hard to find those independents), they'd be worth a try. Prices will surely vary. Good Luck;)
