About the Watch:
This is the Flagship watch in IWC's line.

The IWC Big Pilot case is made from 18ct White Gold
and is also available in Stainless Steel.
Both watches are available only with alligator strap and
that the inner case of both these watches are lined
with soft iron for protection against magnetic fields

The White Gold version weighs 185 g,
whereas the Stainless Steel version weighs 147 g.

Both sides of each of these watches have
a convex anti-reflective coated sapphire
crystal. The crystal themselves are
protected against drop in air pressure.

The case diameter measures: 46.2 mm
The case height measures:     15 mm
Water Resistant: 6 BAR (60 Meters)

About the Movement:

The Caliber 51111 is a 42 jewel movement
rated at 26,100 v/ph at 3 hertz
with a 7
day (168 hours)  Power Reserve.

This movement is manufactured by IWC
which made it's debut in 2002. It is the largest
automatic movement ever created in the world.
The power reserve can generate up to 8.2 days
but only runs for 7 days before an ingenious little
mechanism automatically stops it.

This eliminates the fall-off in torque that occurs as the mainspring winds down, which could lead to loss of amplitude
in the balance and unacceptable inaccuracies in the rate.

Cheers,
Simon
