Since the first day I saw the BARRACUDA, I wanted to have one. Like I said in other posts, I discovered BENARUS about a week to late and then, they were all sold out:(. Many thanks to 3T since after posting a WTB, I received many PM's from different members and I was indeed impressed by the help I received. So, it came in Wednesday and I'm an happy WIS!!! I have to say that I was also happy that I bought from a 3T member. Dan (Suitekids) was a pleasure to deal with and the watch, #32, was in a pretty good shape, which is not that easy to find. Didn't have time to take pics yet, even if I think it's not necessary since most members here know this watch very well, but I will anyway when I have a minute. My impressions about the watch are the following: This is simply the nicest Asian Benarus to date. I don't know for you guys that have them all, but I have the Sea Devil and the Moray, that are amazing watches IMO, but the Cuda is simply my favorite. It has the most distinctive case, the ultimate "tool" look, the nicest bezel operation, a beautiful dial and I love the lumed minute ring, like on the 1K. I think this is a nice Benarus signature and I wish I will see it on future models. Then, nobody would believe that this is a 42mm watch. It's crazy to see how this watch wears way bigger than it's size would suggest. My only complaint about the watch is that, like all my other Benarus, the bezel doesn't align properly with minute marks. This is the only thing that I would say Benarus has to improve on. I can cheat a bit and align it but it really sits in between minute marks. With that said, I know that for a watch in this price range, you already get a lot for your money and besides that, I cannot fault this timepiece, it's perfect.gif. There is a lot of interest still for the Cuda and that's amazing. They keep their value and more which is impressive for such an affordable watch. I saw one selling on eBay for over $500 and it was very rough! So, my automatic Benarus family is now complete and I just have to wait for the Megalodon and GMT... Thanks for reading and thanks again Dan! Daniel Last edited on Fri Oct 2nd, 2009 10:27 am by DM71 |
