We baited with Tuna. I think the line is heavy duty as Marlin can weigh well in excess of 1000 pounds. The one we caught was 650 pounds.

Wow! Thanks for the info, Jomay. I can only dream of landing a 650 pounder. The marlin is a young one though and glad the anglers released him back.
