This is a very pertinent question Nick.  I think the best would be to contact PayPal to be 100% sure of their policy, even if the few times I had to call for account issues, I fell on a none competent person 3 times out of 5  mistake.gif

I didn't know they were not charging fees when item or money is send with the mention of "gift"...

For the credit card, I would think that you are still covered, like said Elemental but again, I THINK is not 100% accurate...
