BRP has more Rolex's than I can remember!
And that says something, because he's mostly into the BIG watches.......I think Pax nailed it: wrist presence. Even my 18ct. Datejust looks good on the wrist, despite being 36mm.
We have had this discussion a few times before: personally I think anything over 45mm is more of a fashion statement. Things might or might not change back to the "average" size as the norm. The point is: who cares? If you're wearing a particular watch to impress someone else, it's for the wrong reason. Wear it because you like it - regardless of its dimensions.
Back to Rolex: I don't know too many people who will turn a Rolex down because of the size.........;)
