So, I recently picked up a Sea Devil, which is my first automatic, and I seem to be having a little trouble with it. I don't have a winder, so when I don't wear the Sea Devil, it stops, as it should. The problem is after I pick it up, set the time/date and put it on my wrist, it stops within a few minutes, then I have to reset it, and try again. Sometimes I can get it to keep running, but mostly it is just a cycle of stop, reset, and stop again. Am I winding it wrong? Does it need to be serviced? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
J....after setting the time and date the watch should be running. Push the crown in all the way and then rotate the crown counterclockwise 20 to 30 times. should give it a full charge.
Keep in mind that that movements winds in the counterclockwise direction only.
