Actually what Tony meant is the rotor only winds in the counter clockwise direction...the ETA 2824 winds in both directions...the importance of this is if you use a winder you must set it for counter clockwise winding

Hehehehe! I love that, it's so confusing Nick but, I'm quite sure that you have to set the winder to turn clock wise so the rotor turns counterclockwise and you wind the watch turning the crown clockwise.goofy hand6.gifhand6.gif
