With regards the "$50 saddles...", I ordered great, robust leather straps 5mm and 6mm thick from one of our strap sponsors for less than $50 each. Priced at 1/3 to even 1/4 of the "luxury" strap brands, the straps have served me well. Maybe, they'll charge just a wee bit extra for your 8.5 inch wrists but it makes a difference and you can wear them to work. Try out just one strap, see how you adjust to it and it to you. In no time, you'll be getting more
.To me straps are like shoes too....I know of lots of guys who wear $300 to $400 shoes with $40 beat-up 501s.....
and it works.
