This is it: My watch-maker finished it today!
A bit of history... Mid 50's, the Egyptian navy forces was training in Italy. The fell in love with the watch models from Panerai and wanted them own model. The first prototype proposed was rejected as they wanted something "undestructible"... They was some hairy divers.
Then came the Egiaziano model with an Angelus 240 inside who has 8 days power-reserve.
Only 50 pieces was made: So it's a hardcore collector who cost your own eyes.
Panerai made a new limited version(titanium) but still the price is giving me nightmares:D
So I went for the original size homage with 5.8mm sapphire glass and got instalated inside a 6498 eta with hammered surface.
The back is full steel so it don't show...
This is the real size: 60mm diameter and 295.5 grams with my rough straps and pig-buckle.
A REAL BEAST!
So you can understand before you say that it's madness: This watch was a diving tool and offcourse, supposed to be worn over a diving suite.
It never was made for cocktail-parties so the size is related to what it was concieved for.
Enjoy!

And here, compared to a 44mm Pam homage.
