Hi Jackie,

Mine has an on/off button!  It's an LED version, it definitely doesn't light up as bright as a regular flashlight!  But it serves it purpose to provide enough light to look for things, go down stairways, etc.  LED's do not burn out, do not shatter when dropped, the units are waterproof.  They are light because it doesn't use batteries.  The only problem is if your wrist becomes tired after shaking up and down to get a sufficient charge!  Actually, with my arthritis, it hurts!  My 2 cents!

To be able to buy a lot of 10 LED flashlights for about $20, sounds like a great deal, if it's true!
