 I think these have a capacitor that can be replaced; but I have no idea at what cost.

My wife lets her eco-drive sit in her jewelry box for extended periods; so it runs down all the time. I usually pull the crown to stop the movement and leave it in sunlight for the day. So far that has always worked. Give it a try.
