The hands of the Schaumburg and overall design of the bezel and dial are just too much to resist.hand6.gif I think the Schaumburg is also a very traditional, direct-to-the point diver. Everything on the dial and on the bezel makes sense both aestheticlaly and functionally. The minute hand is also very crucial in a diver and the emphasized proportion it has (plus its larger lume area) versus the shorter, stubbier hour hand is something that really makes a lot of sense for divers, who after all, do it deeper
On the Triton, somehow that circular date disc/portal at 6 is distracting, as it is presented. The disc doesn't seem to integrate with the other "cube" elements of the dial, especially the hour markers. I'm not taking anything away from the Triton (I have 2 other Debaufre's and am super happy with bothhand6.gif) but today, that Shaumburg diver wins.
