Hello all. I am an American expatriate living in Bangkok, late of Southern California. My wife, kids, and I moved here in 2008 as refugees from the tanking economy.

Ours is an all too common tale. The ravenous recession ate virtually all of our earthly possessions: job, house, cars, meager 401k, savings, etc. etc. All but one thing really.

My watches. I have been an avid WIS for some time. So, when all seemed darkest, I liquidated most of my collection, took that stake and started a business here in Bangkok. The rest is pretty much a fairy tale: business is small but growing, the family is happy again (very rough thing to move out of the country though), great massages for under $6, 1 hour away from great diving, nice standard of living, fabulous massages, and I'm slowly getting back into the watch game. Did I mention the massages?

Anyway, my taste in watches has evolved from blingy to chunky. Current lineup:

Anonimo Militare
Anonimo Millimetre Trilogeo
Anonimo Wayfafer II
Doxa Sub 600 T-Graph
Sinn 757
Sinn U2
Nauticfish 1000
Seiko FrankenMonster
Benarus Worldtimer GMT (on the very soon I hope....)

Seems that what I thought was a curse, turned out to be quite a blessing.

Thanks for reading. Jeff
