Well I'll give you my opinion based on personal expereince as I own an MKII Stingray and an Omega Seamaster 2254.50. Let me preface my comments by stating I was a bit of an Omega hater after being largely unimpressed with some Speedmansters I had seen come through some friend collection.

I'll start with MKII and believe me this is purely my own opinion. Nice watch, great build quality, runs like a top. But there's a but... try as I might I can't say I have ever really bonded with this watch. I've had it on a custom RED12 strap, a polished Watchadoo and now a mesh. I haven't used the supplied rubber, but no matter what it isn't singing to me and it may just end up taking a hike out of my collection. I have to reiterate this is a great watch and this is purely me.

I have pre-coaxial Seamaster I finally picked up used. I love this watch in so may ways. Superb fit and finish, highly accurate and killer looks. One of the mainstays of my collection for certain and a go to watch.
