That's only been an issue for me one time- again with a Seamaster. The seller had them; but I honestly don't know if it would have been a deal breaker if he hadn't. Maybe; since I didn't know the guy.

 I suppose it might add an extra bit of security against fakes; although if you can fake a whole watch you can certainly fake a little plastic card.

 Good question- I'm curious to see where others stand on this.
