Yes, I can't count Omega watches where I noticed home-made Mil-dials with hand painted arrows to push up the value... I never buy a watch on the bay without seeing
the movement in pictures: And I advise to do so!
The only exeption is a newly bought Russian Diver: But as there's no case back(It's a one-piece case like the Mido Commander) it was never demounted to show the movement.
We live in a world of cheaters and I guess that many are placing crapy mvts in good cases to resell the good mvt on the side or use it themself when it's still good!
Also, when the Bretling quartz goes in the washing-machine and the mvt grill: Just take a chinese quartz and place it there, sell on the bay with case locked...VoilĂ !!!
