Good point, Tony. Rolex stamps its brand on chapter rings of the new models and the smaller ones like the Daytona, GMT II, Sub, Datejust etc. For the DSSD, for example, which is already a little busy on the chapter ring department, they don't. Oscar is also right. Rolex makes their ceramic bezel inserts virtually indestructible. The only way this featured watch got that damage is a motorcycle accident the the wearer dashed his watch on pavement but then again....why no damage to the case? Ceramic is also virtually impervious to acid and the damage on the photo doesn't look like a chemically-induced "sunburn". Thanks for this post.
