Absolutely, agree! That's one heck of an idea.
Don't worry about the steel corroding, Ronin. Citizen seems to have this well-covered (per the forums) and besides, all that salt goes away when you shower with the watch after the dive. I do that ritual to my reels, swivels, trace, leaders and even sinkers and so far, so good.....15 years running.
You should see my dive knife that somehow missed the hose after my last dive.
Just LOOKING at it makes me wanna get a tetanus shot.
