been collecting subs for a tudor snowflake project, still haven't found what I'm looking for but I figured I would post a picture of them just for fun!

The blue one was way more work than it was worth, it shipped with the wrong bracelet and the dead giveaway it's an unbranded replica: it needs the datewheel overlay installed since replicas imitate the smaller diameter date wheel of the rolex movements. This required sanding down the 2836 datewheel as thin as possible and then gluing the overlay on and aligning it with the datewheel hole in the dial...

It's not really that hard to do but I don't really need an "homage" to be that close to the real thing... For $76.00 shipped it was a fun distraction from all my other watch projects that are being troublemakers!

The Sandoz doesn't really need any introduction and the vintage sub has a ETA 2878 installed and no dial and hands yet so it's just there for the edge shot!

You can see the tudor dial and hands in the background, it's "refinished" which is Chinese for counterfeit subtlelaugh.gif But it is a vintage singer dial so it's possible it really is a tudor dial and maybe even is a snowflake dial...

There doesn't seem to be anyone making a decent ETA snowflake homage, the only one I can find is from some vaporware watch company called Orange Watch Company, they seem to be hiding in the fringe forums and nobody seems to actually have one of their watches and they don't answer emails so I'm guessing their story isn't going to end well.
It's starting to look like I may have to have a decent ETA snowflake homage made just to get one for myself!
