I hand wind my Orients and Seikos by shaking them for about 15 - 30 seconds..........it's much quicker than the other way....not to mention when changing watches every day, you don't need to insure it has a full "power wind".  I guess that's why they call them "automatics"!  When I get nostalgic for handwinding, I grab one of my Trias Untias or Poljot's. :D
