boy10.gifYes, # 118/500 showed up on my desk this morning after leaving it's home in Velho, Portugal Monday evening.

This is a little smaller than expected but still a good presence IMO. Here are the specs;

  • Automatic ETA 2836 movement. Day/date, hacking, and handwinding, 40 hour power reserve.
  • Internal ratcheting dive bezel (via the 2 o'clock crown).
  • Bead-blasted 316L stainless steel case.
  • Sapphire crystal.
  • Water resistant to 300m (1000ft).
  • Screw-down crown for movement, non-screw-down for bezel.
  • C3 SuperLuminova on hands, indices, and bezel "V".
  • Color-matched day and date wheels.
  • 44mm by 14.8mm, 125g on the custom-designed strap, 22mm screwed lugs.
    There are a ton of review's done on this watch from the likes of; aBlogtoRead, Oceanic Time, Hodinkee, etc. I'll see if the watch can hold up to the reveiws

    So far I have to say the fit and finish looks great. The crown at 2 rotates the internal bezel (120 clicks). The crown at 4 operates smoothly as well.

    The only issue I had was changing the strap (original is siliconeblah.gif)

    The screws are sealed with Loctite 603. but after carefully using a soldering iron to liquify the Loctite the screws came out.

    oh my.gif

    Other than that, I quite happy with this purchase! Here are the pics;

    Here's the wrist shot...

    And finally the first (of probably many subtlelaugh.gif) strap changes woohoo.gif...

    Thanks for looking,

    Bill
