So the simple Zulu strap is the best for me and got a cleaner look: Like the red ones of your pics.
Anyway, I prefer Zulu or Rhino because all parts are in real stainless steel!
On classical Natos, many buckles are no more than usual steel who is chromium plated...My skin eats the plating and I got some skin rashes after.
I didn't expect this trouble as at first I thought that they was made of stainless steel but is seems that the "cheap way" is still too much around. Now my straps are still good but I can't wear them.
Note: I didn't buy those straps from flimsy-straps Asian sellers but rather from a US seller claiming that they was real UK-made straps and that's why I was expecting stainless steel on the buckle and loops.
Now, I'm done with those...blah.gif

BINGO, amigothumbsup.gif. You hit it on the button, William and thanks for pointing this out.

The Natos are sort of not ideal for watches with lug-to-lug distances approaching 50mm and longer because the 2 inner rings clamp on each other to force the watch head to rise up. This MIGHT cause some metal-to-metal friction between the Nato harness rings and the lug horns. This happened to my Frankenmonster but after a small nudge on the FM head here and there, problem was solved. It didn't affect my Aqua Luna at all, however, and for sure my other smaller Seiko divers will be safe.

For the MM1000, I might switch to Zulu exactly as William hints.
