I use 200 lbs braided spectra line on mine. My rod is a 80-130 lbs.
I love this reel: The handle is really good.
I'm after some big halibut. They can come to near 400kg in most extreme cases but I would like a 100-200kg at list... They all been caught in waters around where I live.
It's a very strong fish who's hard to take out so that's why I've opted for big game equipments and bought that last summer. But I had it late and the season was off...
Until now, I've never had over 20kg fish but my day will come: I'm ready for the fight
