Thanks for the kind words, William.

Halibut are good game and really put up a good fight. I use tobacco sinkers in a series for better presentation and most usually, for game like halibut,  use bimini knots....virtually "inescapable". Never been lucky on this smart fishsubtlelaugh.gif.

I'll look for my old pix and show you a record NZ snapper, about 25 kg caught with simple line but with a 15kg Penn lever drag, double action. My rods are all Penn, 6-footers, for medium action and lots of fun.
