natevan70, BRP, Pax, Darkman, edgel and ndburley ~ thanks guys! BRP - the watch has arrived, but my darned flat camera batteries must be replaced before I get shot happy! Am wearing it as we speak! First silver dial Connie I have had, and after a day of "settling down" it has now gained 5 seconds in 24 hours. Not perfect - but maybe after some more settling and a tweak at the watchmaker for regulation and a new battery and a clean-up of the internals, it will likely improve. Side note - why don't more strapmakers use the strap mechanism on these early Omegas? A small and simple cam extends or retracts two pinheads on each side of the strap on each end of the strap into the recessed ridges on the clasp. Neat, quick, very accurate. Shots to follow to explain... will try to get them to you today. Cheers all! Ian ![]()
