i have the deep blue..and although i love it, i have some nags about it (that i live with cause its my beater).
- my day and date wheel are not the same color white..not even close...and that really...REALLY bugs me. the day wheel is more gray/yellow and my date wheel is bright white.
-in 2 places the lume isnt applied to the dial cleanly, it overflows onto the marker lines (this is nit-picking, because you cant see it unless you are staring at it 3 inches from your face...but it is a concern).
I don't think you're nit picking with these two issues. Imho these are items which never should have made it through a simple QC inspection. The dya/date discoloration would make me nuts and if you can see poorly applied lume without a loupe that's just piss poor. I'm always amazed how the big guys (Seiko, Citizen) can churn out sub $300 watches which are impeccable in fit and finish. I guess it it was easy everyone would do it!
