I was checking out a watch's official US site and checked out some military themed watches. One of the watches I liked was listed at a price of $0.00. I thought hmm interesting I put it in the shopping cart and got all the way through till the final purchase click and the price was still only shipping and handling. Of course my conscience got the best of me and I called their US office and brought up the $0.00 issue. The person said it was a mistake and couldn't say if the company would or wouldn't honor that price. Well I gave my info and will hopefully hear back from there. I did not order it though.
I guess my question is do you think they would have honored the price? I guess a good discussion point for online retailers and their policies. Once again I didn't order the watch but if it is not changed by next Tuesday I may. Have a great weekend everyone.
The $0.00 is used when the price has not been determined. Usually a buyer or someone like that puts in the price. In this case, it got posted and is an obvious mistake. Good for you for catching it and calling the company. Many companies have a clause that explains they are not responsible for typographical errors. I would be surprised if any retailer would honor the $0.00 price.
