This German watch, the Otium Segue, runs about $900 - not off the charts but I wouldn't be opposed to finding one discounted somewhere :D ...   I have a list however (and the Off Road is at the top of that list). 

I heard of the Marcel Mystery watch (TT ..'natch') but I didn't get an opportunity to see one.  I like it. 

Generally speaking, I'm not too keen on trendy.  Like jewelry, I like a watch to stand the test of time.  Wear it in 20 yrs. (God willing) and it still has that wow factor, still is stylish, makes a statement.  Like the Locman  ....25 yrs. later ,,,  

Check out the Otium site - I think Wing Liang would approve - very futuristic yet functional.  Attached is the Otium Linear - not my cup of tea but I appreciate the design.  Note the Sphaera - it offers 'unique' but is timeless at the same time.  I can see the Sphaera in 20 yrs., not the Linear.
