BRP - your wish is my command! Photo is of the clasp - before it was thoroughly disinfected and cleaned!

If you look at the LHS of the strap end, there is a circular cutout in the SS end - it contains a recess in which you can insert a 3mm flat headed screwdriver. When activated clockwise, it retracts 4 (two each side) small "nipples" which seat into the recesses you can see "in front of" the SS strap end - they are the ridges on the sides of the clasp itself. The leather part of the strap slides freely within the safety of the clasp sides, because the rolled in shoulders are only "guides" - they do not lock the strap into position. The screw device locks like a beauty. Easy to tighten, loosen and adjust. Just another Omega oddity, BRP ~ but it works well. Hope the pic is clear enough for you to distinguish the details.

I have two more megaquartzies incoming ~ both gold plated cushion case models with gold face, dial and hands, and simple, original leather straps which have Omega "big buckles" (that just means that the Omega logo extends past the end of the buckle, as opposed to being stamped or imprinted on the buckle itself as is the case with some of these older Omegas). I mention the buckles because new ones are about as costly as the entire watches have been off the 'bay...

Buying these has just been a bit of fun - cos they are for sure very reasonably priced at the moment. I decided to splurge before our dollar crashes again :(

Pics to follow when they arrive (it takes about 10 working days minimum ~ I have learned to be patient...).

Have a good weekend 3T.

Cheers - Ian ThumbsUp02.gif
