Thanks Jeff...thankyou.gif...sorry for the late reply...been away from the computer today...

The Fortis is all Steel...no PVD...(the strap is the rubber Fortis strap though).  I think the front lighting that was present for this pic just makes the case look dark and PVD like.  It is a great piece though, that I like a whole lot.
