Thought I'd share a small twist in the tale: The cal. 390 Tudor movement which was removed from my watch and replaced with another one I sourced from Denmark was put up for sale on the bay for $350 "buy it now". Of course I described it truthfully, and declared the fact that the auto wind function was not working..... Anyway, after listing it, I wanted to check it for myself, but couldn't find it. I thought I had made a mistake, but a few seconds later I got mail from ebay: the item was bought within a few minutes from being listed! Unbelievable what the demand for these movements is.... Bottomline is, my restoration costs have now come down 30% on this puppy! Last edited on Mon Jun 21st, 2010 04:56 am by Graham |
