I have no doubt that Mr Hayek Sr will be missed, but that his influence will continue. His son (Nicolas Hayek Jr) may take over the reigns, from what I read. It is ludicrous to say that he single-handedly saved the Swiss auto watch industry through the "quartz crisis" (their words, not mine) - but he had a helluva strong influence in it, and many of the brands we wear or covet today reflect a heritage that he was strongly involved in continuing. RIP Mr Hayek.
