Will, these have steadily shot up in value due o the exclusivity of the piece. Eddie Platts puts together very nice watches and the Dread is thought by many to be his best. You see these selling for just north of 2k on the forums. The Dread is a true grail for many due to its robust spec, place in horological history and its exclusivity.

Be aware that "in-house" movement on the Alpina is a reworked (by Selitta) 6498 so not truly a manufacture movement.
