the Dreadnought will always be regarded as the 1st high end micro brand watch made that became a collectible ....it's the history behind the watch and why Eddie built it that makes it so desirable....Eddie set out to prove that he could build a top notch diver that would not break the bank or the pockets of WIS and he did....this was the 1st of the Fricker divers using this case design and it set off a chain reaction of copy cats which included some big name Swiss companies....there were many that sold in the $2400. + range at one time but like anything interest does die down.The Dread was a true tool diver like none other at the time.
I know Oscar... But people have to move on: Time goes and the Dread is not what it was at it's time. The very good investment was made by those who had it at original price. The ones who bought it at 2400 been exploited by the popularity and the greed of some speculators: My opinion.
