You can never go wrong with a well-selected Seiko. Check these out: This is the Seiko SNZF45K1. One of my faves and great to use as a tool watch. It's 43mm across and spits out incredible lume. Typical of the Monster series, the hour hand is an arrow, the minute hand is a sword and the 12 marker is a shield. One neat detail of the hands is that once the hour and minute hand align or overlap, you'll see either a rocket taking off or a rocket making a landing. Lume of this line is still to be beaten. ![]() ![]() This the black dial version just in case you wanted to buy 2 for your birthday. This is the SNZF51K1. ![]() These Seikos are so darned cheap that you can buy the 2 above and still have some change from your $500 budget for a decent dinner with your wife/partner. ![]() Also, slightly more expensive is the SRP001K1, but still within your budget and still on a white dial. It's a deadringer for the higher-end, more aspirational Velatura line of Seiko. Hope this helps, amigo.
