I had a buddy in the bank once who owned a Breitling and he was quite happy with it although he would make a complaint every so often about how fast it gained time. I also had another buddy in the same circle of friends who had no complaints at all on a different Breitling model. Since I wasn't bitten by the watchbug then, I paid no attention to their comments at that time.

Personally, I am not drawn at all to the brand. Like Mark, I don't know why. Hard to describe it but no matter what I do I can't even bring myself to look at the watches in a show window. I guess it's just something about its dials........too much detail???
