Hey Tony,

Congrats on the new acquisition, I agree the Shark has a great overall design (I’ve had mine since July and still don’t get tired looking at it) and the icing on the cake is that Peter’s customer service is one of the “Best”.

I also agree about your observation about the case back. I had to take my Shark over to Tom Gref’s home to have some warranty work done to it (minor stuff), which was approved by Peter. His reason on allowing me to have this done locally in lieu of sending it back was so I wouldn’t be without it.

Now how’s that for personal service. This is the stuff that gives me the confidence that I made a great decision on this purchase.

Sorry for drifting off….

What got Tom’s attention after removing the caseback was how heavy and thick it was. Since like you, I don’t dive and although we didn’t measure the thickness. I was thinking, if I could acquire a blank caseback from Peter and could find a competent machinist. I figure, I could lower it by shaving off a mm or two. Which may make the Shark fit differently on the wrist.

BTW, You may have a special Shark (I’m sure you know that yours is already sold out). I heard through the grapevine from someone who contacted Peter, that the third batch of Sharks will no longer be available in the ETA movement, only in the Miyota.

However, my Shark says HI!!!

Again CONGRATS,

Pops
