Hey murphy, Well, I don't consider myself a watch expert...I learn something new everyday!! ![]() If it is an AR coating on the outside of the crystal, and the fine scratches bother you enough to want to get rid of them, you cannot polish the scratches out (and maintain the outer AR coating)...you can only polish the outer AR coating off. The good news is that crystals that are coated on the outside are usually also coated on the inside, so you won't loose all of the AR coating goodness. --(and I admit, I'm a fan of double-AR coated crystals due to the crystal all but disappearing unless it is quite dirty). I have heard of people polishing off the outer AR coating quite easily...have never done it myself though. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. ...and btw, cannot wait to see the NEW ARRIVAL!!!
