It is no secret that I am a big submariner fan.  I have a number of them in various renditions.
Lately I have been looking at some first class homages.  I'm not comfortable with exact replicas, but like most of us, I like the odd "interpretation" watch.
This is from Helenarou.  I am pleasantly surprised at the quality and sheer good value for money this piece represents.

I'm not going to do a proper review, but her are some remarks anyway:
The fit and finish is superb!  The solid bracelet with SEL's has a diver's extention and Daytona-type clasp. All very nice, but there is no micro adjustment.  Fortunately having removed 3 links (screwed), it fitted me perfectly.

The centre links are highly polished, with brushed sides.  The case is simply superb!  Absolutely nothing to fault there. Sapphire crystal and a wacky cyclop!  Fantastic magnification.
The caseback is easily removed with a Rolex-type tool.  I popped it to confirm there was actually an ETA 2824-2 in there.  Yep, and it is running 100% true out the box!
(a bit of excess o-ring grease can be seen; already cleaned)

Note the decent all metal movement holder. A nice touch.
These figures speak for themselves!

The dial is a modern rendition of the classic square marker Tudor with "snowflake" hands.  I love it! The bezel insert is ceramic - really well executed.  I find the pip a bit big, but once again it is different enough to set it apart from the original.

All in all a GREAT watch, regardless of price!  What I like is the fact that it basically portrays the gist of the original without trying to copy it - therefore a rendition.
It claims a WR of 50 m, but I'm sure it will easily pass 100m.  It has a triplock design crown, and a decent o-ring seal on the case.  I can't see the crystal seal obviously, but we'll see....
Not the best pics, but shot these an hour after it landed here today with the cellphone camera.
