My brown dart dial Moray 2 came in today.  I think it's a nice update to the Moray 1.  The dial really looks nice and the brown color looks great.

I think the Moray 2 have a couple of functional improvements over the Moray 1 with the bezel and crown being easier to grip thanks to more defined ridges.  I particularly like the bigger feeling crown.

Can't really make any observations about the Miyota 9015 movement yet, but it's nice to have a full featured (hand-winding, hacking, 28.8k beating) movement that's not an ETA 2824.

Anyway, I'm very happy with the Moray 2 so far.  Here are some quick pics I took:

Notice the highly defined ridges on the bezel and crown.

Helium escape valve for those hard days desk diving at work!

Case comparison.  They look very much alike with some minor differences.

Comparing the side profiles.

My PAM312 has a similar styled case to the Morays, so I also took a few shots with the Panerai.  I really like this style of watch case.

Group shot.

The Moray 2 is pretty thick, but not quite as thick as the 312.  Moray 1 feels like a slim version of these watches!

Wrist shot.

I think the Moray 2 will have a place within my watch rotation.  It should do a fine job as the 312's stunt doublesubtlelaugh.gif and is a great looking watch in its own right.  I give the Moray 2 two thumbs up!ThumbsUp02.gifThumbsUp02.gif
