Sux for both of you, no doubt. Look at it the opposite way. He sent you money before he had the watch (standard procedure), you send the watch, he gets it and discovers the crown pulls out complete with stem. Could he be on another forum in Singapore stating "I got taken for a ride by a guy on another forum. Look at this POS Sea-Gull he claims works fine, and here the crown/stem popped right out". If he's doubtful, offer to refund partial payment, enough to cover his return shipping. When you get it, send the balance of payment.
