Have you seen any of the Nordic world crosscountry championships. I have been stuck to the TV every morning for the last week or so watching the action from Holmenkollen in Norway. I have been a fan of this sport and Biathalon for about 12 years, some of the fittest athletes on the plant. For no particular reason, other that perhaps they are the best, I have been a supporter of the Norwegians, they have consistantly produced legends of the sport, their current crop is no exception. Marit Bjoergen, entered 4 events, won 4 golds, what an athlete. Possibly the next big thing Therese Johaug, a human dynamo and a babe. The men are pretty good too, Peter Northug, although they say he's a bit of an arogant person, but he has the talent to be. So I await the womens 30k race later today and the mens 50k tomorrow. If I were a betting man I know who I'd be putting my money on. And the Biathalon world championships have just started in Russia, this is bliss. Last edited on Fri Mar 4th, 2011 09:39 pm by EdRonax |
