Looking good Steve but as many around, I thought that the lume was TOP with those huge markers...
Too bad that it isn't.
But if you are happy, so that's nice.
Don't want to be a buzzkiller but in my opinion, 1530$ for poor lume, a 2824-2 ETA and only 100-meters rating for a diver...
Not such a good deal.

This isn't a dive watch, it is a fashion watch, it comes on leather. The price is high and that is because U-Boat is spending a lot on marketing and product placement. Is a Panerai Luminor Base Pam 00000 a good deal with an ETA movement at $5,000?

At this price point people buy the brand, not the technical specs. I bought a U-Boat because I like the design of the case, dial, and crown. I have plenty of higher spec technical dive watches that cost much less.

Totally agree about the Panerai/eta at 5000buks, and I allways been critizing this openly, in and out the forum: Just ask William/Watchdaddy(that I salute by the way...)cat28.gif
I also like this same design and that's why I bought my Russian Shark.
But I just can't put so much money for a name or a brand because I considerate that from this price point, specs have to follow a minimum.
I've never seen any status in U-boat but maybe I'm living too far from big towns...
