Hey Jeff...lugs are 22mm but I just put mine on a 24mm buckskin from Savage this morning that is very soft and it fits fine(see below)...buckles are ss right now but Peter is making Ti buckles,lug screws and tool for the Gauge owners and will be sent out asap....straps are a black Zulu and a faux isophrane that is pretty nice imo....so 22 or 24mm will work depending on the strap...I like how the 24mm fills the gap.
Thanks, Oscar. I think a 24mm leather strap would fit just fine like what you did on yours. As for the buckles, it's a good thing Peter will have ti buckles too so that the match wold be perfect although I think I can talk to a bronzesmith here and maybe he can form me a perfect bronze GPF-Pre Mod buckle which will surley match the bronze bezel perfectly.
I have a spare Isofrane in dark blue waiting and maybe that might look good. I recently landed several ti buckles in various widths so I guess an Isofrane with ti buckle will also fit just fine.
I think we WIS can be very creative with the way we can mix and match various leathers and combinations on the Gauge. I can hardly wait to get mine and Peter has reserved #9 for me already. Yahooooo!!!
