 My wife and I are in Palm Springs, Fl. for the week on some R&R. Staying on the beach at Singer Isl., Marriot..Got in on Saturday.

Woke up about 0500 on Monday, checked the news that the shuttle launch was still on, woke up my wife, and drove north as far as we can go until launch time.

We got about 25 miles from Cape Canavaral, got out to the beach, with a thousand or more other people and saw the launch... pretty feaking cool...first one I had ever seen live..(probably my last)

the initial launch had been cancelled and this was the re-scheduled date, just great timng for us...happy guy.gif
